Malibu Beach Bungalows are found at Chaloklum Bay on the northwest coast of the island. The newly renovated and beautifully decorated bungalows are surrounded by our beautiful tropical garden and the crystal blue water. It is a paradise hideaway where luxury meets natural beauty. The bungalows are set behind the swimming pool and are well crafted with large balcony and lanna style wooden finished interiors and fixtures to create comfort and atmosphere.
Malibu Beach Bungalows are also fan style accommodation available to ensure that all budgets can enjoy this idyllic location. Where the Malibu beach restaurant and bar are located. A bridge joins the island to the accommodation and swimming pool located just a few meters away with excellent views of the bay and beach.

Room was great, very relaxing place near the beach. We were a bit disappionted about the fact that the beach area and the bungalows were separated by a river that was dry. The beach was nice, fantastic white sand and the beach restaurant served excellent food and breakfast. Staff very friendly and nice. The hotel was situated near a small fishing village with great and cheap restaurants. We can recommend hiring a motorbike and go swimming/snorkling at a beach nearby called Koh Ma.

Unkept, shabby grounds, fly covered cold breakfast buffet, sand fleas ate us alive on the beach and water had broken glass, beer bottles and trash - obviously unsafe for swimming. We had paid a one night deposit. Staff insisted on 4 nights paid up front and if we refused, we must leave immediately, no option to stay one night and re-consider and no refund for the remaining 3 nights when we left after one night. She blamed Sawadee for this policy. Very disappointing, not at all like the Internet pictures.

Malibu Beach has a dream location, straight from a postcard. It is a very relaxed resort, clean and decorated with taste, though not overly luxurious. For the money I paid, it would have been nice to have a fridge in the otherwise perfect bungalow. Also, the (beach) restaurant would be well served with an espresso machine. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Please note that there is no entertainment at night (which is not necessarily a bad thing, considering the noise) but a nearby village is within a 10 minutes walk. Warmly recommended for those seeking relaxation.
